--- SPOILER ALERT ---
The episode opened with Ramsay Snow being a douche as always. For those who don't remember, he's the guy who caught Theon Greyjoy captive, and then cut Theon's genital last season. Also now he was a slave to Ramsay. Although, let's be real, Theon kinda deserved it after what he'd done to Winterfell, yeah?
Ramsay's father a.k.a Lord Bolton a.k.a the guy who stabbed Robb Stark and said "The Lannisters sent their regard" (EPIC), sent him to deal with the Greyjoys so they can command the whole North. Moreover, they're planning on finding Bran and Rickon. Greedy much, Bolton??
Speaking of Bran Stark, viewers got a few minutes of Bran this episode. Still at the snowy forest, wondering around looking for I don't even know what. Seriously I lost track of Bran's journey after a while. This time we saw deeper into his Warg ability, with which he could enter the mind of his direwolf, Summer, and control the wolf.
I get it Bran, I do, if I could be a wolf in my dream, I wouldn't wanna wake up ever too. Also the group found a tree with a face (?) and then Bran kinda get a vision of basically season 1 of GoT, and then suddenly he knew where to go next. How?
Tyrion Lannister was still being troubled by his lover Shae. Now that Cersei and Tywin knew about them, she was in danger of being murdered, so Tyrion decided to ship her away to Pentos. Seems like ever since Blackwater, Tyrion never got to be happy. Poor Imp.
We also get a few moments of Stannis Baratheon, still being totally controlled by his weird, borderline sick, Lord of Light priestess Melisandre. Their story line this time was still the same as every time we got these two on screen, them doing some ceremony/ritual for the Lord, usually involving fire and burning other people. You are not getting any closer to the throne by having a bonfire, Stannis.
Also, everything was dark for their scenes. I don't know if it's my screen or it was intended to be that way by the lightning dept. Seriously, it's like they're living in some sort of cavern instead of a castle.
AND YES NOW WE REACH THE GLORIOUS PART OF THIS EPISODE. THE PURPLE WEDDING.
But first of all, there was a very contrast setting directly after Stannis and Bran's story. Everywhere is bright. The whole King's Landing is bright even their indoor hall.

TO THIS
- Joffrey and Margaery's marriage ceremony, of course
- Tywin and Olenna Tyrell discussing money money money
- Lady Tyrell foreshadowing, ooooh this one is brilliant let me tell you
- Jaime and Loras sassing each other off about marrying Cersei. Game of Thrones more like Game of SASS
- Cersei pissing off Brienne
- Cersei pissing off Maester Pycelle, really Cersei? Like mother like son, I guess. But this quote is actually one of my most fav quotes from Cersei, tbh. SO MUCH WIN
- Cersei and Prince Oberyn sassing each other off, oh Oberyn you're my new favorite
- Joffrey presenting a play about the War of Five Kings, done by dwarfs, which was very offensive
- Joffrey pissing off, being rude to Sansa and making fun of Tyrion.
- Basically Joffrey being a huge douchebag to everyone except his mother and grandfather. Joffrey was definitely the most disgusting king to ever exist, and kudos to Jack Gleeson for such a brilliant performance. You know you're an amazing actor when the whole world hates your character so badly. Well done Gleeson.
Here, I present you one of the most joyful moments in this series
Now you know why they called it the Purple Wedding. lol it's actually funny.
Now that Joffrey was dead, of course they would start looking for the murderer (or the hero, let's be honest). Of course those who have read the novels know already who's behind this great scheme. But for viewers with no prior knowledge?
Let's see some of the suspects:
- Tyrion (THE PRIME SUSPECT OF COURSE SINCE CERSEI HATED HIM SOOOO MUCH)
- Sansa?
- Margaery?
- Olenna Tyrell?
- Oberyn?
- Maester Pycelle or Lord Varys or Littlefinger or Brienne or Loras or basically any other seemingly minor character who actually can be the master behind the grand stage?? Possibly.
- I actually know who it is already. But what do you think?
--- SPOILER ENDS ---
I give this episode 3.5/5 noise. The purple wedding was executed well by the writers, I actually like the way they included "suspicious shots" of everyone that might be related to Joffrey's death. Although the first half of the episode was sleep inducing, the purple wedding certainly did a nice kick to end this episode.
